Galileo & Worldspan - New load date and updated! Changes to Definition and Processing of Operating Carrier - 2012 Industry Mandates

22.05.2012

Overview PA 1462 - version 02

Issue History: Version 01 – Issued 30-Apr-12
Reason For Issuing version 02: Second Notification - To advise a new load date for Travelport 360 Fares™. To clarify that the processing described in this advisory is specifically related to Automated Rules validation and provide new examples.

ATPCO has defined how to validate Operating Carrier for the purposes of ATPCO Automated Rules Flight Table 986, which in turn is used to define eligible carriers in Category 4 – Flight Application, and in Record 8 – Fare By Rule Application.

The new ATPCO definition creates a standard in automated rules to allow for consistent fare pricing when an itinerary includes a marketing code share situation (i.e., the Operating Carrier is different from the Marketing Carrier).

Travelport 360 Fares™ and Worldspan FareSource™ fare rules processing will be enhanced to align with this definition.

Customer Benefit

Customers will benefit from consistent fare processing as a result of this new industry standard definition of Operating Carrier in automated rules data.
