Worldspan - Sell All Flights in a Connection from Worldspan™ Availability

27.12.2012

Overview

When airlines return availability for a connection, the assumption is all flights in the connection will be sold together as a trip. Selling part of a connection, or selling parts of different connections to form a new trip, may result in the sells being denied.
In the Worldspan availability example below, availability is for line 1 connecting to line 2 and for line 3 connecting to line 4, but not for line 1 connecting to line 4.

Effective with this change, all flights in a Worldspan availability connection must be sold as a unit. An attempt to sell only part of a connection will result in the following error response being returned: INVALID - SELL COMPLETE ITIN.

The entry to sell the first flight in a connection and all of its connecting flights will continue to be supported; for example, N2Y1* sells 2 seats on line 1 and all of line 1’s connecting flights.

Customer Benefit
  • Ensure the sell is aligned with the connection availability
