Galileo - Impact Advisory: LH Exchange E-Ticket Error - May 27-28 - Action Required!

10.06.2010

Remedial action required by Agencies

Lufthansa has requested the following remedial action is taken by all Agencies to ensure that completely unused Electronic Tickets that were voided are re-issued and reported to BSP/ARC correctly.

  • This action is only required for exchange Electronic Tickets issued on the 27MAY or 28MAY with an additional collection amount (ADC)
  • LH will change the coupon status of the original issue document to OPEN and the exchange document to SUSP
  • If the Electronic Ticket has been issued in Galileo LH will add a Vendor remark (see below) asking the Agent to perform the exchange again. The booking will be placed on programmatic Queue 16 to alert the Agent
  • If the Electronic Ticket has been used or partially used the Agent will receive a Debit Memo (ADM) from Lufthansa to collect the additional amount (ADC)
  • Once the booking has been updated by LH and queued failure by the agency to re-issue completely unused Electronic Tickets will result in LH having to re-issue documents at Airport locations. In this case Passengers will be expected to pay for the additional collection amount
The Galileo Booking will contain the following text added by Lufthansa as a Vendor Remark in Galileo.

PLEASE PERFORM THE REISSUE OF THE ORIGINAL ISSUED ETKT 220nnnnnnnnnn AGAIN DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS BSP REPORTING FAILED
